MEMBERSHIP

We're excited that you would like to join our community!

Rockford MakerSpace is driven by a community of members. Members pay affordable monthly membership dues and receive 24/7 access to facilities and equipment. To help keep costs low, members donate their time to help maintain the facility and equipment, teach skills they have mastered, and participate in educational outreach in the community.

Membership is not required to use the space. Guests are welcome to use the space and many tools for free when a hosting member is present.

Scholarships may also be available. Rockford MakerSpace strives to provide access and learning opportunities to everyone, regardless of financial means. Contact us for details.

How to become a member

1. Visit us at an Open House. Check our events calendar for upcoming ones. If your schedule doesn't allow you to attend an open house, contact us.
2. Fill out a membership application (available at the open house).
3. Register and pay membership dues (below).
4. Complete a probationary period. Once we get to know you, the Rockford MakerSpace membership will approve full membership. Read why we need to get to know you.
5. If you are able, consider making a donation.
